I recently played thru ME1 as the default sole survivor and had completed the Cerberus assignment strand which ends with the assignment "UNC: Hades Dogs". Apparently, with these two prerequisites, when you play the UNC: Dead Scientists, Toombs should comment that he escaped the Cerberus facility during the events of Hades Dogs.

Does anyone else find it odd that he doesn't appear in Mass Effect 3 (assuming he survived the first game)? I understand that the dev team can't put in every character, but given the sheer amount of cameos in ME3, I was quite surprised that Toombs didn't make a reappearance or even get mentioned. Oh well, maybe they're saving him for Omega.
